Duelo de exclusividades

Para pocos pasa desapercibida la gran verdad de los juegos musicales: lo que hace que nos decantemos por uno u otro no deja de ser su lista de canciones. Porque a la hora de la verdad todo el mundo barre para casa, la inclusión de un artista en concreto puede llevar consigo que miles de usuarios tengan ya su elección hecha. En el caso de Guitar Hero: World Tour no sólo se han dado cuenta de este hecho, sino que lo han explotado a conciencia llevando la imagen de algunos ‘dioses' del rock como Ozzy Osbourne -con su guitarrista Zakk Wylde- o Jimi Hendrix al mundo del polígono. Lo mismo pasa con agrupaciones de nombre Oasis o The Killers, las cuales se van a un bando y no hacia otro. O simplemente con escenografía característica, el caso de Tool, quienes ceden su imaginería. El caso es ofrecer incentivos, luchar por contar con una selección de temas lo más competente posible.

En este caso vemos que las 86 canciones abandonan la temática más ‘metalera' que tradicionalmente ha llevado la saga para dedicarse a todo tipo de variantes, con más de un flirteo con otros estilos como el pop. Destacamos algunas agrupaciones algo más atípicas como 'At The Drive-In', muy interesantes para un videojuego musical, o el clásico progresivo Pull Me Under de los 'Dream Theater'. En la parte más clásica, 'The Cult' con su Love Removal Machine o los mitiquísimos 'Creedence' junto con los 'The Doors' hacen que nos embargue la nostalgia. Y por supuesto, 'Michael Jackson' y su Beat It, 'Motörhead' con su asesino Overkill o una increíble versión en vivo de Sweet Home Alabama por los 'Lynyrd Skynyrd'. Para los hispanoparlantes contaremos con canciones como 'Escuela de Calor' o 'La Bamba' Muy variado, con algunas agrupaciones que inexplicablemente no ceden sus mejores temas, pero con el suficiente atractivo para muchos, muchísimos seguidores de las buenas recopilaciones:
